Budget around AED 1,100–1,800 for one replacement mount with installation. The component allowance is AED 600–900 and fitting is AED 500–900. The two-mount estimate below counts the installation once where both mounts can be changed during the same access work. Your engine, mounting design and access determine whether these ranges suit the repair.

A single failed mount can be replaced when the remaining mounts are serviceable. A pair becomes worth considering when both sides show deterioration, or when changing the second worn mount during the same visit avoids repeating substantial access work. We explain the condition of each mount before you choose.
An engine mount can look intact from above while its rubber has compressed or its hydraulic section has lost fluid. Inspection needs to consider the installed position and movement as well as visible cracks. A sound-looking top surface alone does not settle the repair decision.
A focused replacement keeps the repair limited to the damaged component. It suits a clearly identified failure when the opposite mount, brackets and transmission support remain in good condition. The quote should name the side and exact mount being changed so the parts quantity is clear.
Replacing both side mounts can restore consistent support where both have deteriorated. Shared engine support and access may reduce the combined labor compared with two separate visits. A pair is a repair choice based on condition, rather than a compulsory package for every vibration complaint.
Book an inspection if vibration at idle, a thud when selecting a gear, or a jolt under acceleration has changed the way the car feels. These symptoms help us reproduce the concern. They do not identify the failed part by themselves, so the inspection checks the mounting system alongside other likely causes.
A collapsed mount can transfer more engine vibration into the body. Uneven engine running can feel similar. We compare the reported vibration with engine behavior and mount condition; if a running fault needs engine diagnosis, that work is explained before replacing mounts.
Movement when the drivetrain takes up load can reveal a damaged mount or loose support. Transmission mounts, brackets and driveline components may also need inspection. Recording when the thud occurs helps distinguish the complaint from a noise that only happens over bumps.
A vibration that appears mainly at a particular speed can involve wheels, tires or the driveline. Mount replacement is appropriate only where the mounting system contributes to that concern. If the problem began after tire work or an impact, mention it when arranging the inspection.
Heavy banging, obvious engine displacement, or contact with surrounding components needs prompt assessment. Stop driving if the vehicle feels unsafe and call to discuss recovery. Avoid trying to reproduce severe movement by revving the engine while someone watches under the hood.
Genuine BMW parts come in BMW packaging. Suitable alternatives may be available from established component manufacturers. The useful comparison is the actual part number, construction, fit and warranty. A supplier label alone does not establish that every mount it sells matches the original application.
A hydraulic mount uses fluid damping alongside its resilient structure. A conventional rubber mount has a different construction. Replacing a specified hydraulic or controlled mount with a simpler unit can change refinement, even if the bolt pattern appears similar. We identify the fitted design before presenting a parts choice.
The quote should show the selected manufacturer and whether a left and right mount use different part numbers. We also check any required connection or control feature on the installed mount. Ordering by model name alone can miss changes within a generation or differences between engines.
For everyday road use, the aim is to recover the intended balance between support and comfort. Stiffer performance mounts can transmit more vibration into the cabin. If the car already has modified mounts, tell us whether you want to keep that setup or return to a road-focused replacement.
Ask for the applicable parts and fitting warranty on the written quote, including duration and exclusions. Coverage can differ with the supplied component and work. An existing oil leak or damaged bracket may require attention alongside the mount; replacing the rubber component alone will not correct those conditions.

On a six-cylinder or larger-engine application, the space around the mounting points can change the labor involved. An xDrive layout may also affect access. These are reasons to identify the exact vehicle when finalizing the quote, rather than applying the same replacement time to every BMW.
Older cars may have brittle nearby connections, seized fasteners or previous repairs that become apparent during inspection. If extra work is needed, we explain it before extending the job. Supplying a previous invoice can be useful when the mounts were changed recently, but it is optional when you first contact us.

Tell us which change mattered most to you, such as vibration through the seat while waiting at a signal or a thud when selecting reverse. The check after fitting should return to that same complaint under suitable conditions. Normal engine feel can vary with temperature and load, so the useful comparison is the behavior you reported.
If another vibration remains, we explain whether it comes from a separate issue that was identified during diagnosis. The invoice should distinguish the completed mount replacement from any further work recommended. You can then plan the next repair with a clear account of what has already been done.
Your repair record should identify the installed mount, its manufacturer, the quantity replaced and any additional hardware. Keep the applicable warranty terms with the invoice, especially if a related oil leak or bracket repair was included.
After collection, contact the garage if the original noise returns or a new vibration appears. Describe whether it occurs at idle, during gear selection or while moving. A recheck can compare the current behavior with the completed work without assuming that every new noise means another mount has failed.

No. A serviceable mount can remain in use. Replacing a pair is considered when both are worn or when combined access makes an already-needed second replacement more economical. The condition of the remaining supports should be explained.
They can reduce vibration caused by failed mounts. Rough engine running, damaged driveline parts or wheel-related vibration need their own repair. The final checks compare the result with the complaint that led you to book.
Alignment is not automatically included in the mount estimate. If the required access disturbs components that affect wheel geometry, the applicable check is listed in the quote. A routine mount change should not be sold as a cure for an unrelated alignment problem.
Oil contamination can affect rubber mounting components. If the inspection finds an active leak around a mount, the source and any recommended leak repair should be discussed. Cleaning the area alone does not repair the leak.
